Sci Fi News: "Fringe" and "Lost". Fringe science is what's in the "Fringe" TV series title. Among this show's predecessors I'll mention "Altered States," there are many others. Cloning seems to be a recurrent topic on "Fringe".
Question: Is one of the main characters, Peter Bishop, a clone of his father, "mad" scientist Walter? If so, let's discard the clone theory for "Lost" series characters, as J.J. Abrams is one of the creators of both series.

"Lost" News:
Season 5 is being filmed
in Hawaii. Quite a few new
characters will appear. There
might be travelling to the past
aboard old vessels. Will a wind of
change blow their sails?
According to Lindelof at recent
Comic Con,
Daniel Faraday and his
notebook full of information
about  past and future events
will figure prominently
in the new season.

In May "Lost" season 4 inches
toward "spectacular kiss" season
finale. Ghosts everywhere.
Hurley communicates with
Charlie's.  Miles is a ghostbuster
and finds corpses. Jack
hallucinates in L.A. about his
presumably dead  father.
Claire sees the father too,
in  the island jungle. Locke has
caught a glimpse of and heard
ghost-in-chief Jacob. He now
gets help to find Jacob, from
Hurley who saw Jacob's cabin
in the jungle when nobody
could find it.
"Lost" News: Season 4
brings back Harold Perrineau's
Michael. in epi. 8. In one of his

"Lost" News: LOST goes
from sci-fi to science of the future.
A renowned NY physicist just
wrote a book that could place
Desmond's travels to 1996 and
back, in the realm of possibility...
with the help, of course, of
technological progress
(still in the making).

"Lost" News: A "scientific"
team arrived on LOST "island."
Sci-fi team would be more
accurate.

Are Desmond's famous
"flashes before his eyes" or
"travels" into the future what
the new team wants to study?
"The Constant" is a good
name for such a study, if they
want to publish it.

"Lost" News: Jack Bender,
one of "Lost"
executive producers and directors,
said recently that "Lost"
characters illustrate human
life stages. For instance
Locke is not any more the
kind of person he was
before the crash on
the island. The show also
is about the consequences of
a general catastrophy
and how each individual deals
with it. As a painter, Jack Bender
is very aware of the Hawaii
setting possibilities. He supervises each episode's visuals.

"Lost" News: According to
"Lost" executive producers
Cuse and Lindelof:
“The show has never really
been about getting off the island.”
Also: "The survival of the island
is now at stake."
"Survival of the island"
is a very intriguing expression.
Is the "island" in danger?
Why "now"?Natural catastrophy? Doomed experiment?
Can the stranded Losties
escape and go home at all?
Why is their return home
not at the center of the story?
Is it because there is no
home left to go back to?

TV "Lost" : Actor Naveen
Andrews' opinion about
"Lost" island. "This island is
not real, not as one imagines it
in the physical world". Its place
is more on a spiritual plane.
"Lost" is mainly an excellent
story about people, how
diverse they are and how
they react in difficult
situations. In Andrews' opinion
the series is so successful
because it makes the viewers
think. The English actor, of
Indian origin, had to modify his
accent to play the role of Sayid.

"My songs were very popular
and I played 3 new ones,
one of which was born in

arguably the best song
I have done yet. It is called
"Slow Down". I managed to
limp my way through it

the added help of trumpeter
Alistair Strachan and Jon
Poole on casiotone. Another
one, "I Forgot My Big Idea",
is somewhat more
complicated and goes off

unexpected refrain. Has
