EQUINOX MOON

Full moon over the Ides of March
Illuminates Linden, Oak, Elm and Larch
Branches above form a fragile arch
Filled with buds set to burst with the Spring

Wind in the Willow chants an airy tune
Whisp'ring love songs to the Vernal Moon
Energies surround us and very soon
Wood and hill will be wearing new green

Birds have come back, flying everywhere
Careening like kites in the warming air
Seeking out nests in need of repair
To be filled with their downy offspring

Equinox Moon stirs the slumbering tides
Awakens the Earth under March's Ides
And the hope in my heart that yet abides
For the harmony of all living things
