"Gaia", J.Hayward and Alan Simon

Alan Simon says, "Dream, child, dream. Wonderful world, beautiful world..." in "The Wish".

"Gaia" is truly a world class CD which puts the world at your feet, musically that is! Alan Simon, who produced, composed, wrote (almost all) and arranged 20 incredible songs invites you to take this Walk for Life along with these brilliant artists from around the world and it is an unforgettable journey!
I could say that it's rock 'n roll, but by that I would mean some songs really rock and others gently roll as they sweep you away both with the music and the lyrics.
Justin Hayward said that the January 2003 GAIA Event at the MIDEM was something special and after listening to the"Gaia" CD, I feel it was truly an experience of a lifetime being a part of
something so full of life. When I try to imagine these performances live, I can sense the heartbeat of the world pounding out from the center of this concert and echoing all around the globe. Good vibrations and much needed too! "On The Road" the song Justin sings on this CD, is simply a masterpiece and it showcases his talent at his very best.

There is simply nothing bad I can say about the CD except that I want more and indeed another double CD is planned for release after the Concert for the Planet, to be held in Paris this September. These CDs will include the best of the "jam sessions" by these artists and all I can say is look out world! :)

A few remarks from Alan Simon about Justin Hayward's contribution to the "Gaia" CD:
"Justin Hayward, the singer for the famous Moody Blues, took advantage of a break [in his busy schedule] to offer us his contribution: his voice... As soon as the first take, Justin made the
song his own, in the most surprising way. This is when I understood the secret of this supergroup.

I appreciated fully the greatness of Justin's gift to us. While listening to the voice of the Moody Blues, I daydreamed travels to so many places. Nothing had changed...Dreams were
intact, still as beautiful as ever. "The Earth is only one country", "on the road"... The answer was under our eyes...Thank you Justin."
And Nancy Jussen comments:
I got chills thinking about this realization of Alan's because it's something we all take too much for granted at times. It seems that until we hear Justin singing something new, we often forget how very unique his voice and singing style is and how lucky we are to have recognized and continue to appreciate his talent.
Justin can definitely take us to places far beyond reality and how wonderful that is, so make that a one way trip, please! It's great that his gift can be shared in something as grand as this CD and the GAIA concerts. Now there's a ticket that I'd love to get!
